A planned giving program allows those who wish to pledge a portion of their estate to the Dahmen Barn Foundation in advance. Such gifts will ensure the future of the Dahmen Barn and its place in the Palouse art world.

Donations of cash, real property or future income from investments or other similar holdings are gratefully accepted. Donors may specify a percentage of their estate, a specific amount, or the residue of their estate. For example, a local farmer recently left the net proceeds from a specific portion of her farm ground over the next 40 years to a local non-profit.

Donors may stipulate how they would like their funds used at the Dahmen Barn:

A capital improvement project such as:
~ restoration of the silo
~ improving the field between the road and the highway to include parking and outdoor art displays

Ongoing maintenance and operations

Art education:
~ for the public such as providing for scholarships for classes or to bring a visiting artist from outside the area to the Barn
~ for the resident artisans to enable them to enroll in classes and workshops to enhance their skills;
~ scholarships or materials for kids' art classes
~ funds to enable school children to come to the Barn for a creativity experience.

Other creative ideas are welcomed.

Donors are encouraged to consult their estate planner or attorney for appropriate language for making a planned gift to the Dahmen Barn.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization separate from the Uniontown Community Development Association.

Donations may be made to Artisans at the Dahmen Barn at P O Box 36, Uniontown WA 99179 or by calling 509-229-3414 to give.  Or use the online process under "Join Us!" on this section of the website.
