Tracy Randall

While pursuing her BFA at the University of Idaho, Tracy immersed herself in every art class available—ceramics, collage, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and, of course, textile surface design. Though fabric and fibers are now her primary medium, she continues to explore abstract mixed media compositions, using collage and mark-making techniques on paper. Textile surface design, from batik to free-motion machine quilting, remains her greatest passion, and she delights in the spontaneity of each project, where happy accidents often lead to new discoveries.

You can usually find her at the Barn on Thursdays and some Sundays. The photos below capture only a glimpse of her work—both the art and the Barn itself are best appreciated in person. Stop by and say hello! Her art quilt wall hangings are generally no larger than 36” in any direction.
