Heather Dixon

Heather Dixon grew up in Uniontown and recently moved back to Uniontown. She comes from a family that has been great volunteers for our community. Her Father Eugene Dixon was one of the first board members of the Artisan Barn and him and his wife put in a lot of volunteering cleaning and painting the barn when first donated to the community. Heather is also a volunteer for the Palouse Choral Society and you may have visited with her when you stopped in, for many years she has volunteered in The Shop at the Barn.

Joanne was raised on a wheat and cattle ranch on the breaks of the Snake River, south of Lewiston. After living in the South for a few years, she and her husband, Lee, returned to the area to join the family farms on the Palouse and Tammany regions and raise their family. Living near New Orleans is where she grew to love the arts. She currently serves on the board for the Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, and is very involved with her family, community, and church.
Julie Hartwig
MANAGER
Julie Grew up just south of Uniontown and she returned back to Uniontown to open the retail outlet at the barn. She has been at the Barn since 2006. Julie has been curating the exhibits at the barn since 2007 when the barn opened the Hay loft Gallery, which host a new artist every month. Before opening The Shop at The Barn she managed the Lewis-Clark State College Museum Store for eight years. She is also an experienced journeyman baker and when she has spare time she also teaches cake decorating classes for our culinary art program.
Kate DeFord
Katie and her husband relocated to Uniontown three years ago. Passionate about crocheting, she became interested in selling her items in the gift shop after visiting the Dahmen Barn. Since then, she has become a dedicated volunteer at the Barn and actively participates in community service, volunteering her time throughout the Uniontown and Colton communities. Katie also works in Uniontown as the librarian of the local branch of the Whitman County Library where she enjoys planning activities for the Summer Reading Program, creating monthly crafts, and holding weekly storytimes for local kids.
JENNIFER HOLLAND
Jennifer Holland has lived in Uniontown for over 60 years and has a degree in art from Washington State University. She formally owned Splendid Antiques on the south end of Uniontown. Once retired, she began enjoying time producing her art once again.
