This is part of a series of 2 mixed media abstract collages on brown kraft paper, applied to 5″ x 7″ canvas covered art panels. Acrylic paint, metallic paint, markers, crayon, collage papers, and water soluble graphite. This collage is in a distressed pink wooden frame.
my process for Tired of Being Quiet 1
This is the first in a series of two 5″ x 7″ mixed media abstract collages. Screaming into the void much? Feeling all the feels and wanting to metaphorically claw my way out. Breaking out of the norm, and the simmering of anger underneath. My challenge with these pieces was to keep the composition small, feminine, and visually appealing. Feeling shattered, but needing to keep it all buttoned up. Angry, but keep it pretty, sweetie. Oh, and smile more, you’d be prettier if you smiled more.
